CHangoMan is an innovative, multicultural music project created by Faustino "Tino" Ortega (Flies in Paradise, Moscas, Chango Jackson) that represents the cultural diversity found in our nation. Their mission is to unite the planet through song and dance, serving as living proof that you can dance and rock at the same time, in spite of our distinct languages, traditions and socio-economic backgrounds and to better understand the role music plays in our lives.
With influences that span over millennia and have developed over several eras, CHangoMan's music includes multiple varieties of rock, folk, pop, classical, Latin, funk, blues and R&B music.
With lyrics that reflect upon the relationship between races and the human emotions or beliefs that stimulate our behavior towards each other.
But the main purpose of CHangoMan's music remains fundamentally as a source of spiritual inspiration, cultural expression and pure entertainment. We want to share the belief that no matter what you do in life to live, thrive and survive; we all have one thing in common…
We need someone to love.
About Red-Handed Productions and "Hypnogogia"
In the side stage Red-Handed Productions will transport audience members to the future, deep in outer space, with its puppet show, “Hypnagogia.”
Hypnagogia is a term describing the transitional state between sleep and awakening. That feeling of fear before transcendence inspired writer and director, Justin Dunford.
“It’s all about exploring different fears and emotions ingrained in us all, the fears of the unknown and being lost,” Dunford said. “Space takes those feelings to a more intense level.”
