The Beer Can House is open MOST weekends year-round
Saturdays and Sundays
from Noon – 5pm (always weather permitting.)
Summer Hours - Wednesday - Friday 9-1pm until August 29th and Saturday - Sunday from 12-5pm.
We are closed many major holidays
Private group tours are available by appointment (Special fees may apply – please call for details)
Admission to The Beer Can House grounds is $2.00 for a self-guided tour.
Fully guided tours including the house interior and museum exhibition are available for $5.00
Self-guided tours available for purchase in the gift shop
The Beer Can House exterior can be seen from the sidewalk at anytime. We ask off-hour visitors to PLEASE be courteous of our neighbors.
Photography is allowed at The Beer Can House, with the exception of interior artwork and photographs.
Maps & Directions
The Beer Can House is located at 222 Malone Street, between Memorial Drive and Washington Avenue. The House is located in a residential neighborhood, close to Memorial Park.
From Dowtown Houston
Head west on Prairie or Captitol Street and merge onto Memorial Drive. Proceed 4.5 miles and take a left on Malone Street (three blocks past the stoplight at Detering Drive). The Beer Can House will be on your right hand side, one and a half blocks up.
From South
Take I-45 North past Downtown and merge onto I-10 West (towards Katy). Exit Westcott Avenue (Exit #xx) and take a left over the freeway. Proceed 180-degrees through the roundabout at Washington Avenue. At the stoplight turn left onto Memorial Drive. Take a left at Malone Street (two blocks from the light). The Beer Can House will be one and a half blocks up, on your right hand side.
From North
ake I-45 or 1-59 South towards Downtown Houston. Merge onto Interstate 10 (towards Katy) and proceed West. Exit Westcott Avenue and take a left over the freeway.
